Development of Avascular Necrosis In The Normal Hip After The Treatment Of Developmental Dysplasia Of The Hip

Developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH) is a developmental pathology of the hip which may be encountered in different clinical manifestations after birth. Avascular necrosis (AVN) is the most critical complication leading to several problems in the long-term period after the treatment of DDH. It is a commonly found complication secondary to treatment and also follow-up period of the dysplastic hip joint. Development of AVN in the normal hip in treatment and follow-up process of the cases with unilateral DDH has been reported in a very limited number of studies in the literature. This paper has presented a case of AVN encountered in the normal hip by radiography performed the fifth follow-up month of the patient who previously received the treatment of unilateral DDH.

Unılateral Gelişimsel Kalça Displazisi Tedavisi Sonrası Sağlam Kalçada Avasküler Nekroz Gelişimi

Gelişimsel kalça displazisi (GKD) doğumdan sonra ortaya çıkan ve farklı klinik tablolarla görülebilen kalçanın gelişimsel bir hastalığıdır. GKD tanısı alan hastalarda avasküler nekroz (AVN) tedavi aşamasında ve sonrasında karşılaşılan en önemli komplikasyondur. AVN displastik kalça eklemi tedavisi ve takibinde sıkça rastlanılan bir komplikasyondur. Literatür taramasında unilateral GKD li hastaların tedavisi ve takibinde, sağlam kalçada AVN gelişimi ile ilgili az sayıda çalışma bildirilmiştir. Bu sunumda unilateral GKD tedavisi yapılan bir hastanın takiplerinde 5. ayda çekilen radyografide sağlam kalçada meydana gelen AVN olgusu sunulmaktadır.
