The Van Medical Journal operates a zero-embargo policy. All accepted manuscripts are published and made freely accessible immediately upon online publication. There is no delay between acceptance and open access availability.
Self-Archiving and Repository Deposit
Authors are encouraged to self-archive their work in institutional repositories, disciplinary repositories (e.g., PubMed Central, bioRxiv, medRxiv), or personal/institutional websites. The Version of Record (VoR) may be deposited immediately upon publication.
Funder Compliance
Authors funded by agencies requiring open access deposition (e.g., NIH, Wellcome Trust, Research Councils UK) should notify the editorial office. The journal supports compliance with funder open access mandates and will assist with repository deposits where applicable.
